PCI practical completion QLD what did you miss at handover

For anyone who has done practical completion on a new place in QLD, what did you miss at PCI that you kicked yourself for later.

I am trying to build a practical checklist from real misses not Instagram highlight reels. Thinking paint and plaster close ups, drainage outside, door and window operation, hot water and appliances actually commissioned, roof space quick look if you can access safely, and what paperwork you were meant to receive versus what turned up in the email folder.

Also curious if anyone hired a private inspector for PCI and whether it paid for itself on a standard project home.

we only stared at tiles and paint then later noticed downpipes splashing against a path because fall was lazy.

Also missing certificate PDFs until we chased. Private inspector would have caught half of that in an hour.

Worth running showers on inspection day even if the builder moans about sealing. Better wet patches inside while someone is watching than six weeks later when steam finds a gap.
